Hi,
This is a follow-up to my post here:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=31544
I found out that there is something different in the two installations, but I'm not sure what the likely suspects are. I renamed the gbpvr folder on the "bad" machine and copied over the folder from the "good" machine, and the bad machine then started to work. So there's something in the files in the good folder that make it work.
I used WinMerge to compare the two folders and their subdirectories and about 90% of the files were the identical. Here are the different files:
gbpvr.db3 . Binary files are different
lastgraph.grf . Binary files are different
Config.exe-1.log logs Files are different
Config.exe-2.log logs Files are different
Config.exe-3.log logs Files are different
Config.exe-native-1.log logs Files are different
Config.exe-native-2.log logs Files are different
Config.exe-native-3.log logs Files are different
Config.exe-native.log logs Files are different

GBPVRTray.exe-1.log logs Files are different
GBPVRTray.exe-2.log logs Files are different
GBPVRTray.exe-3.log logs Files are different
GBPVRTray.exe.log logs Files are different
config.old . Files are different
lawconvert.bat . Files are different
recording-dump.xml . Files are different
recording-dump.xml.bak . Files are different
These all appear to be either log files, which shouldn't change the operation of the program, or the database itself, which also shouldn't make a difference.
The "good" does have more files in it though. Could any of these make a difference?
