recording quality settings

Is there an option to adjust the recording format, such as high, medium, low recording quality settings?

I am using the following configuration.
v.1.1.5
HVR-1600 using ATSC tuner
BDA Recording Plugin
CT TV Listing

If you're recording from a digital device then the broadcaster decides the bitrate, resolution, encoding quality, files etc. GB-PVR is simply saving the digital stream to disk (only minor remuxing performed), so there isnt an option to adjust the quality for a digital recording.
