Can you use the Hauppauge remote to control other apps

Subject says it all.

I've just got into using the BBC iPlayer and Channel 4 On Demand services - both currently playback through other players (see new iPlayer thread on Wishlist forum).

It'd be great if I could control these other players using the remote, rather than the (slightly unreliable wireless) mouse. A brief look at the Wiki and the remote .ini file makes me think that it can be done, but if anyone can give me any further info or advice I'd be grateful.

Yes it can. Edit the irremote.ini file to add definitions for the other apps you want to control.
