Custom TvShape/AspectRatioModes

I have been trying out the latest release of GBPVR and I have on remaining problem. My Television has non-square pixels so although it takes 1024x768 from the computer it is displayed in. Is there a setting I can use for TvShape/AspectRatioModes that would stretch a 16x9 broadcast so that it is stretched to fill the 4x3 effective screen dimensions? This would look wrong on an ordinary monitor. Cyberlink DVD in its context menu Aspect ratio has a suitable option 'Stretch to fit screen'

It doesnt really matter what resolution you're running. The most important thing is the shape of your TV. Is that 1024x768 pixels 4:3 or 16:9 or 16:10 shape?

If you press F7 until you're in the 'Fill' aspect ratio then it might give you what you're looking for.

The TV is 16:9 but takes 1024x768 via it's VGA connector so it looks squashed with 4:3 input - Windows Explorer for example.

If you press F7 until you're in the 'Fill' aspect ratio then it might give you what you're looking for.

I have tried all the options by pressing F7 but there are always black bars or the cropping going on. I have also tried adding my own AspectRatioMode entry without success.

I am using the Cyberlink MPEG decoder if that is significant. For 16:9 source material the results are correct in Cyberlink PowerDVD if I use 'stretch to fit the screen' as the aspect ratio.

Thats ok. It shouldnt matter what Windows apps looks like. As long as you've told the app the tv shape is 16:9, then it shouldnt matter what the resolution is. The app totally ignores the resolution when it comes video playback - its all about the TV Shape

You probably need to give a real world example rather than a generic comment like this. There is a lot of different scenarios that can affect how things are shown on the screen.

While you're looking into this sort of problem, its often a good idea to do a recording of one particular show or channel that is causing you problems so that when you're trying different settings etc the scenario isnt changing. ie different channels or shows might be doing different things, which are confusing things in your mind.

So do a recording, then playback the file, post the logs and a screenshot and a description of what you're seeing, and I'll attempt to describe what is happening.
