I just built my new HTPC. Asus G33-based mobo, E2160, 2GB RAM, ATI TV Wonder 650 PCI, and NVIDIA 8400GS (for DVI). It's hooked up to my Toshiba 65" DLP. The HDTV has built-in tuners and my OTA reception both HD and SD is working great. However, when I stick that same coax up to my ATI card, I get nothing. I'm using the channel scan utility that installed with GB-PVR and I select the ATI 650 PRO option, and USA, all I get is static, static and more static. I even tried other card options with no difference.

I haven't used this card for several months, and I lost the CD that came with the card, so maybe I am missing some critical driver? ATI Tech support said I needed the CD for Catalyst Media Center, but the complete drivers were online (which is what I downloaded and installed).

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Btw, I LOVE this software so far. It looks great and I really look forward to tweaking it once I get this last major hurdle resovled.

Try doing a channel scan then zip and attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

[UPDATE] Although I verified the coax port with my User's Guide, it turns out that the User's Guide was just plain WRONG. It clearly shows the top coax port as "1", and then describes "1" as "FM Radio and Digital TV antenna coaxial connection". However, when I studied the labeling actually ON the card, it labeled the BOTTOM coax connector as "DTV/FM", and sure enough, when I hooked it up there, I got channels. Aaaaaaargghhhh!!! I am such a moron! Rolleyes

I haven't tried to add them to GB-PVR yet, but I was disconcerted to notice that it only seemed to find one channel for each network, when I know that most channels have at least 2 (and PBS has 4). Am I missing something? I actually only care about the OTA HD signals.

Anyway, thanks for the prompt response, and sorry again for the false alarm... :o
