Hauppauge HVR-3000

Hi Everybody,

I'm new to the forum, so hope I'm posting this in the correct location.

Can anyone tell me, please, does the GB-PVR software work with the Hauppauge HVR-3000 card and is there anything specifically I should know about using this software instead of the software supplied with the card, which quite frankly is a mess.

I use the HVR-3000 and it works perfectly with GBPVR at least for the DVB-S input (I use it for Free to Air UK satellite channels).

Agree with your comments about the software provided with the card.

I use if for free to air broadcasts also, I'm based in Dublin, Ireland and I pick up most of the UK FTA channels BBC, ITV, etc as well as Irish channels in both analogue and apparently according to HVR-300, DVB-T.

If you don't mind me asking, does the supplied software have to be un-installed
before installing the GB-PVR software?

It works for both DVB-S and DVB-T. It wont work for analog since it lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder.

You dont need to uninstall the Hauppauge software.
