hauppauge-500; no picture

I am using hauppauge-500 dual tuner on XP w/ SP2, GEForce 6200 video card, and GB-PVR v1.1.5. When watching Live-TV I hear audio but there is no picture(black screen). When I use VLC on the same box I see the video so I know it is not a feed problem.

What could be the problem?

You probably dont have an MPEG2 decoder installed (VLC uses an embedded one). You can get a free one from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm.

Doesn't the hauppauge-500 have a hardware decoder?

No it doesnt. It has a hardware ENcoder.
