Guys,

Love the new CS3, I think it's beautiful. I was wondering if a few enhancements could be made to it?

I'd like to be able to see the time and weather on the frontend. This was possible when using the old GBPVR and CS.

Also, when a song is playing, it would be cool to display the status of the song, the name and timeline, on the frontend. This was also possible on the old GBPVR and CS.

Lastly, if a recording is sheduled, would it be possible to display the status when scrolling down the main menu over Recordings? I think this was the case when using the old GBPVR and CS also.

Please let me know if these features can be added. I think it will greatly increase the user-friendliness and the WAF of the system.

GBPVR IS GREAT!!

Displaying things on the main menu used a GB-PVR feature called panels. Unfortunately these are not currently available in PVRX2, although when they are, you can bet CS3 will be one of the first skins to include them!

Great,
Thank you very much and I'm sorry for posting this in the wrong category.

Is that what the "Video Archive Panel" is? I've had it enabled in CONFIG, along with "Videos", but nothing seems to be related to it on PVRX2's menu.

I understand that Video Archive isn't "yours" but this is the first I have seen any description about what a panel is.

Yes, the Video Archive Panel is a multi-information panel that would display on top of the GB-PVR main menu screen and show weather, recording status, pending recordings, and music track being played (and more!). Several other plugins had their own panels, but the VA panel was able to handle just about everything.

These panels have not made the migration to PVRX2 yet, and sub has mentioned he is planning on them making a return. Once they are available in PVRX2, they will be a part of the CommunitySkin again.

Basically a panel was an overlay that could display text and/or graphics dynamically over the top of the menu.

Sounds nice. I look forward to it.
