There isnt many owners of Leadtek devices here, so I've not seem many comments on how they work with GB-PVR. Its possible this device or its drivers just doesnt like something about the way GB-PVR does its thing.
I just bought this Winfast DVT 1000S and I have tried installing in 2 different computers and still no go.
I rang the shop and told them I dont think it is for Win XP, the box only says certified for Vista. So I am taking it back for a different one.
When I try to install it comes up with not Microsoft certified so I ignore anyway and continue.
My device manager shows the card as working but PVR2 wont start at all. Comes up as a error message (debug/send/dont send to microsoft).
I agree this is a dud. When I uninstall driver PVR2 software works with another tuner card.
Also it makes computer start up with Power DVD every time.

Shlocker, your the first user I've found that has the same problem as me. If possible can state your pc Specs. I've had the same problem installing the 1000 S card on my PC. Dual core 6600 with asus P5EB Plus motherboard, 2Gb Ram, 74 Gb raptor hhd, Asus 16x DVD burner, Asus NV7600GT graphics.
The only way I can get the card with is the PVR 2 software, first I disable the card in device manager, and then start PVR 2, then re-enable the card, and then in PVR I swtich the video source, once i do that the first time, the program detects the card in settings. I do that again, it again comes up with an error dialogue, but if I press the switch source button again it often (not everytime!) will start the TV and when that happens it works flawlessly. I have found no one including Leadtek with any answers to this problem so far.
Hope this helps, so I know the card works...but there's a bug in the driver I reckon.
That card is a weird one. Leadtek havent updated the driver in ages which doesnt help. I too suspect theres a nasty driver problem in there . I couldnt even get it to work with their software!!!
I had an analogue TV2000 expert of theirs that was great, but this card sucks. The DVT1000t (tin can tuner) was supposed to be ok but you cant get it any more.
Strangely mediaportal seems to be the only software that could work with the 1000s. I ended up getting a second had divco card and the 1000s is still in its box. I guess I should have taken it back but I always assumed leadtek would fix the driver asap. Wrong.
I'm having issues with this card as well, though it worked fine in Mediaportal, and the bundled PVR2.
It's not crashing when I scan for channels in GDPVR, but it fails to find most of the channels.
A scan using the regular Melbourne-Dandenong settings comes up with just 1 broadcaster of 5, scanning with all regions, gives a different channel, but still only 1.
I ran ScanChannelsBDA_UK.exe and it picked up everything, so I created a new 0401.ini file with the frequencies that ScanChannels picked up and that netted me a few more channels.
I'm a bit lost how to get the last 2 though(Ten and SBS)
The preview panel in the scan has stopped working at some point over the last week (probably related to my mpeg2 filters) so I can't be sure what the Unknown Channels are.
