Hello,

I recently purchase a Leadtek DTV 1000 S to use as a second capture device in GBPVR, but I just can't get it working.

I know this isn't in the list of supported BDA devices, but since the 1000 T is I thought it would probably work.

Graphedit showed this;

[Image: grapheditml2.jpg]

This is what I added to BDa.ini:

[WinFast DTV1000 S]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=WinFast DTV1000 S BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=WinFast DTV1000 S BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I used 'WinFast DTV1000 S' as the name as this is what shows in device manager.

When I scan for channels all I get is 'unknown 1' 2,3,6 repeated 6 times (once for each frequency) or sometimes BBC 1,2,3 and news24 repeated 6 times, but when I watch them they correspond to the last frequency scanned not the first (which is the BBC stuff)

The card works perfectly with it's own software but just won't do anything with GBPVR. do I need to do something special when I set up a second capture device? I tried to set it as device number 2 but then it didn't work at all.

any help would be appreciated.

I'm sorry if this message was a bit abrupt but I just wrote a really long and detailed message and Firefox crashed on me, so this is my abbreviated version.

Cheers

There is the occasion card which just doesnt like the way GBPVR does things, and produce results like you mention. Unfortunately there isnt much I can do about it - not setting that made it magically work. GB-PVR treats all cards the same, and the vast majority of cards work just fine.

If you post the logs, I'll if it is something else going on.

OK here are the logs for today, I hope you find something but if you don't is there any way I could tell the card the channel details rather than letting it scan for them?

Cheers Sub, you're the best.

Unfortunately nothing obvious in the logs.

You could try. One guy with a very similar problem to yours was able to get away with it: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...an-1.cache

Cheers sub, I'll have a look at that other topic and hopefully I'll be able to work it out, if not then it's not the end of the end of the world as the leadtek software isn't nearly as bad as the hauppauge software.

Thanks again Sub.

success!

As suggested in that other thread I was able to just copy and rename the scan file from my other device and use that, and everything seems to be working fine.

Cheers

so it is just a scanning problem.
I'll give the method described in the other post a try
