I recently read (on a different forum) that PVR 150 cards can now support Closed Caption. I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to do that, and if they can post a step by step guide to do that. It has something to do with the latest drivers I think.

By the way: Will those drivers work for other Hauppauge cards, like the PVR USB2?

The technique for making a PVR x50 play Closed captions is here...

I don't think the reg fixes will work for anything other than 150/250s

I know that it works on 150s regardless of what some pages say...

It was a long time ago when I enabled CC, but I think once I got the new drivers I just starting using mpg2srt to create the SRT files and then in config told it to use the srtviewer. Toggles on and off the yellow button or Ctrl Y. I don't think the registry trick was needed anymore.

Add the line mpg2srt %1 in your postprocessing file. (and put the mpg2srt in the gbpvr dir (or wheverer with the appropriate path change in the bat).

No idea about other cards.
