Switching Subtitle Streams

It seems... unkind... to post a wishlist item less than 24 hours after a release. But in my defence, it was the release that prompted the wish.

1.2.9 introduced the ability to step through multiple audio streams in avi (via Morgan Stream Splitter) and mkv/ogm files.

My Wish: The same thing, but with subtitle streams.

I appreciate that this is getting a bit esoteric. It's my hope that the code to change subtitles will just be an extension / modification of the code to change audio streams and that the investment in time wouldn't be more than it is worth. That's my hope anyway!

In any event, thanks for all the effort that is put into gbpvr.

/grin - that's all I ask! And I appreciate even that!

I've been fussing with registry settings over the past few weeks, and am able to turn subtitles on and off that way (only before starting the video) which is a good start, but not nearly as nice as it would be to switch through them, especially when there may be four or five different streams available.

At any rate, thank you for whatever consideration you give to it. I understand that it is a feature with a limited audience, so I appreciate even getting a "maybe".

How does one presently enable subtitles in Live TV? There seems to be options in the Config, but I can't find any documentation that tells us how to enable it whilst viewing.

The UK system (DVB Subtitles) doesnt function at this stage. It used to, but has been broken for quite a while.

Should I add this to the wishlist, then? - it would be of great benefit to the hearing-disabled (like me) and you could then feel really soooo good about yourself for the good deeds you are doing for mankind (meaning me, for instance).

It is on my list to do, but is awkward for me to develop/test since we use a different system in New Zealand (Teletext Subtitles over DVB), so is pretty low on the priority list.
