Now the remote will not control playback

I am running version 1.2.9 of GBPVR and no matter what dongle I try I don't have control over playback... recordings start playing, and then I cannot pause, ff, rw or even stop. I am stumped as to what's causing it... the remote works fine with stopping or pausing live TV so it's not the remote... I tried disabling the firewall, different dongles, different multiplexers, new batteries, a clean install of 1.2.9, has anyone got any suggestions ?

Have you definitely got both Hauppauge MediaMVP services stopped? They need to be otherwise you can get a problem like this.

I just double checked, MVPMedia and MVPMediaSvc on manual and stopped.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Well for some reason I am now getting the "MVP Controller" Window popping up that says "This window is an MVP server process. If you close it your MVP session will end" I used to get this with 1.01.05 and got rid of it with Zehd's MVPServerchecker. I peeked in the logs, there is something strange happening in MVP-PVRX2.exe

Does this happen regardless of what key you press on your remote? ie, does pressing the pause button cause this?

Yes, none of the keys have any effect.. in this instance I pressed ff, skip, stop, pause... nothing happens...

It looks like you might have an old version of NativeUtilities.dll.
