Does the MVPMCX2 work with both the MVP and the Popcorn Hour device. I ordered the Popcorn hour a couple of weeks ago and am waiting on delivery. Could I get a head start on setting it up by using MVPMCX2 now while I only have a MVP?

No, mvpmcx2 is compiled for the PCH's processor. However if you are able to configure mvpmc to use the mvpmc share with your MVP to load a config file, you will have taken a big step in preparing yourself for the PCH

I think I have the share setup correctly. I just have the one line in the dongle.bin.config file:
mvpmc --startup emulate --emulate 192.168.0.7 &
Now instead of mvpmc stopping at the menu screen, it goes on to load the GBPVR menu. But now I'm trying to get mvpmc to play internet radio. I copied a couple of pls files into the mvpmc shared directory on my computer, but when I go to the mvpmc filesystem option and navigate to /etc/mvpmc I don't see them there. Am I doing something wrong?

If it is starting up in emulation mode it sound like that you have the guest share configured properly. What probably has happened is the pls files were moved and did not get guest access. Through windows explorer check the properties of the file to confirm that guest access is available.

One thing you can do is login via telnet and issue the linux dir command as follows

ls /etc/mvpmc

You should see your config file and everything else that has guest access. You can even unzip the script files for the PCH and confirm that they are there since I think you are very close to being ready.

Thanks Martin!
I found out what was wrong. The file names I was using included a "." in front of them(.977 The 80s Channel). Once I removed it the file showed in the /etc/mvpmc directory.
I will now try to unzip the script files for pch and download & install the patches for PVRX2. Does that sound right?
