One song lock patch still valid?

I'm running the latest PVRX2 in Win2K and music playback locks up after one song. I've read a bit in the forums regarding remote controls then came across this post:

Is the patch still valid in the latest version or am I experienecing a new problem? I didnt finish reading all of the remote stuff but I'm using an RF remote via eventghost.

Any ideas much appreciated.

patches are only for the version they are released with so no
post your logs after playing the song

Can you reproduce the problem and post a matching set of pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log?

If you switch to the VMR9 Custom renderer (instead of Overlay), does the problem go away?

Ahh there in lies a problem.

I've got a CRT TV so I'm stuck with s-video out on my gfx card which wouldnt be a problem if the either of the two DX9 gfx cards I have didnt have noisy as hell s-video signals. So I'm currently stuck with a DX8 gfx card which has a crystal clear s-video signal until my bonus arrives and I finally buy an LCD TV with some decent video inputs.

And I was so happy when overlay became supported in PVRX2. Ahh well the bonus will be along soon, good things come to those who wait.

Do you want me to chuck a DX9 card in tomorrow to see what happens FYI?

I wasnt tell you to permanently change to the VMR9 Custom. I just wanted you to temporarily try it to see if it only happened with Overlay.

Duh.... for some reason I didnt think PVRX2 would run using VMR9 renderer on a DX8 gfx card. It does and yes that has fixed the problem. Thank you for your help.
