First off, I have an istar hd mini 1.3.

There are two reasons I went with GB-PVR (and love it!)
1) All my movie files are DVD isos.
2) I wanted a thumbnail browser that was easy to get to and stayed as the default when selected. My younger son is learning to read; he can use the TV remote, but thumbnails work better for him.

GB-PVR provides both of these and so much more, thank you!

Now, a few issues. When I go to "Settings", none of the options will save. Selecting "OK" basically does nothing and I have to select "Cancel" to exit whatever setting I was trying to save. I really would like to have my photos displayed for longer than one second...

Second, I can browse my music just fine, but selecting "Play" and/or "Play All" does absolutely nothing. At all.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

If you are trying to play non-mp3 files, the Recordings Directory which defaults to C:\Temp needs to exists.

It's great to know that the istar works, but just in case you have the HDMI 1.3 version Play All probably won't work with the older version of mono that it uses.

Sub can answer your setting questions, I find it amusing to find an NMT user complaining that the slide show is too fast. In the meantime the slide show time can be changed by editing config.xml. Be aware that there is a trade off, the network load time of higher bit rate files will impact the time between slides too.

I'll try it here later today. In the meantime, just edit the <PhotoLibrarySlideShowDelay> setting in config.xml to set the number of seconds.

I suspect martin is correct. The older version of 'mono' originally included with the PCH used to have the same problem. Only after a more recent firmware update was this fixed. I suspect the istar has an older version. You might need to ask the manufacturer for a firmware update that brings it into line with the more recent one included with the PCH.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer had been working on a new firmware for the 1.3 version for some time and still has yet to release it. There have been a few posts on their forum about it.

I will try to play with it some more to see what happens. What I find interesting, and I didn't mention it (sorry) was that it worked before I added the DVD mount and the patches.

Okay for some reason I can play music now, but if I select "Play All" then skip to a song, the playlist stops after that song instead of continuing on. Is this a NMT problem or GB-PVR?

That's why I said earlier there were two potential problems. Now you won't get Play All working again unless you go back to much older GB-PVR patches I linked to in the #3 post of the survival guide, but you will lose a lot too.

I forgot about that and didn't re-read it.

Thanks again...
