Option for not displaying extension in thumbnail mode?

This would definitely not be a priority of any sort, but could there be an option to not display the extension of a file name if one is browsing files in thumbnail mode?

It only occurred to me because I leave my Video Library in thumbnail mode and my wife asked me what ".iso" meant...
