firefox 3 messed up vlc control buttons

since upgrading to ffox 3 the vlc server control 'buttons' are now showing the wrong charachters. It used to have special charachters for fwd, play, pause etc - now i'm just getting 9 7 < 4 ; 8 :
Similarly the three buttons for server control when using the embedded vlc player are now < 4 ;
any idea what might have happened?

Yea...they screwed up some of the CSS stuff from what I can tell. Are you using CSS or Table based screens (i.e. manage.aspx (tbale) or manage2.aspx (css) )

Edit: They appear fine when using the CSS based screens....they are just bad in the table based screens.....very strange.
