sorry if double-posting, i found nothing here like this...

i'm using DVB EPG Broadcast, which fully works with the original program that came with the capture card. with gb-pvr however it seems to cut info-texts after a defined amount of characters. is there any way to solve this?

Is this a issue with the GBPVR database? ie limit of 256 characters?

Looking at the database, the Description field is limited to 255 chars, however before you start counting, I can see descriptions truncated after 200 chars - I suspect that could be a limit of the DVB EPG

is it possible to increase this limit somehow? frankly, i did not find anything like this (using SQlite Database browser)...

hm... within the original tv-software (technotrend media center; provided by the capture card) epg-infos are shown as intended

oh, update: just found descriptions in the database. obviously, the field is limited to EXACT 248 chars, as all info-texts cut off show 248 chars

I dont think its related to the database. Even though the field size is set to 255 characters, SQLite ignores this and allows for longer descriptions.

I'm fairly sure it'll mean your broadcaster is using multipart EPG entries and GB-PVR is only managing to read the first entry or something similiar.

If you have access to a webserver, and can set the mux temporarily to 'Full TS', and do a 1 minute long recording for me, then make that file available... then I'll take a look for you.
