I've not gotten the same corruption he's having but I have had the disappearing items. The first time this has appeared for me is in 1.2.13.
It's when you scroll through recorded shows - the one you're positioned on always is visible, but the others will disappear and reappear randomly as you select different shows.
Seems like it only happens in one screen, can't remember which one though. If you've not heard or seen this problem I get more info, I hadn't reported it because I figured others had and it would be fixed in the next release....
As far as stuttering, I've always been able to solve intermittent stuttering problems by tweaking on video settings & messing with the dreaded quartz.dll library - sometimes not a fun process but once it's fixed, it's fixed.
