Chapter/Menu support outside DVD

I am wondering if there is a way to convert a DVD to AVI or MKV files with some chapter/Menu structure supported by GB-PVR. I am converting DVDs to save disk space, but I lose the structure.

This type of stuff is only possible with DVDs. As soon as you convert it to an AVI or MKV file, then its just a regular video file, with no menu, and normal GB-PVR skipping instead of chapters.

Actually mkv chapter support is coming to the PCH in the next firmware release. Because of the remote keys being used, I am going to have to do some work on mvpmcx2 to work with it.
