I have just installed GB-PVR version 1.4.7 on Win XP SP3 but when I run PVRX2 from the Windows start menu, I do not see the main menu. I have verified that I have the prerequisites (Directx 9.0, C++ redist, etc) installed. Attached are the logs & a screenshot.

Thanks

SiS Mirage 2 graphics? ewwww.... otherwise a perfectly good computer

Try changing the video renderer to Overlay (in the GB-PVR Settings app, on the Playback tab). It should work; I've run GB-PVR on less with Overlay.

You should try NPVR as well, even though it's newer and better, it apparently has lower graphics requirements - the old VMR7 video renderer is back.

The computer has an AGP slot; there are plenty of video cards for less than $50-$80 that would drastically improve matters. Here's a list I ginned up quick on NewEgg:

edit: if you don't mind rebates, that sapphire HD4650 is a steal

Thanks for the advice.
Here's my status....I've installed NPVR, it detected my PCI tuner (Pinnacle 800i) as Device = "Digital Tuner" and cannot find any channels when I click Scan. Pinnacle manufacturer's software (TVCenter Pro) works, even GB-PVR was able to find some channels, but I have the problem in my original post. I guess I will wait if NPVR will support 800i.
