I've finally been able to get the channel logos displayed on the server machine and EWA, but so far, still no luck on the client PC. I've tried both File Sharing and Streaming mode but it didn't work for either.

Running GB-PVR 1.2.13 on both.
Server OS: Windows XP Pro SP2
Client OS: Windows Vista Home Premium SP1

Help please?

Did you install the images on the client PC? They need to be locally on the client machine. It wont attempt to stream from the server.

Yep, I copied the whole ChannelLogos folder from the server to the same location on the client (C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media\). I also see an "AllChannelArt" folder inside the gbpvr folder. Am I supposed to put the logos in there?

Thanks for the extremely quick response!

Copying the ChannelLogos directory should have done it.

*sigh* Wonder why it won't work then. Vista quirk, maybe? Will try if I can get it to work on my old XP laptop, though Lord knows it's useless. It doesn't really have the horsepower to play HD.

Again, thanks a lot for the support and all your hard work on GB-PVR. It's the best PVR I've used so far. Smile

I'm not really sure. Its been a long time since I tested this on a client PC.

If you post the client logs I'll see if there is anything that stands out.

Seems like it's a Vista quirk. I installed GB-PVR on the old XP laptop and while the main menu had practically no display (I blame the SIS chipset), the logos were displayed just fine.

Anyway, here are the logs although I doubt you'll find anything. Logs are clean. I emptied the logs directory before I opened PVRX2 and went straight to the TV Guide menu.

Thanks again for all the help and for GB-PVR. I'm planning a whole house set-up with GB-PVR at the center that's why I'm currently testing client/server functionality. Still don't know if I'll get a Popcorn Hour or build an HTPC for each TV, but at least I now know to steer clear of Vista on client PCs. :o

In Vista you also have to remember to copy directories as administrator or the files will be copied into your Virtual Store.

Thank you! I had no idea Vista did that. Problem fixed. Smile

I think I'll still go with Windows XP if I do decide on an HTPC for every TV, though. :o

Now that I'm done testing core PVR functions, I'm off to playing around with Anime Library and Movie Wiz. :p
