Hi,
I got a new hvr 1600 board and so far everything looks fine, except that when I change channels, going from analog to digital, the first digital channel I'm switching to doesn't have sound or picture. If I change to another digital channel and then back both digital channels will work fine.
The other way, switching from digital channel to analog channel works fine.
Any advice?

Thanks,
-ioan

Another user had a problem similar to this a few days ago, and resolved it by changing video decoders.

I see you're using 'system default', which lets the system pick some random decoder. I'd try explicitly selecting other decoder options to see if it helps.

I'm trying this over a vnc connection and looks like it doesn't matter what video decoder I choose, switching from analog to digital channel doesn't work. I'll test some more when I get home and I'm in front of the machine and I'll let you know.

attached are a pic of the video decoders I have.

Have you tried the audio decoders aswell?

Also, could be to do with the ffdshow raw video filter, which I see is inserting itself into you playback graphs.
