NZ Terrestrial Digital Audio Codec?

Hello, Does anyone know what audio decoder I need to get sound on the Terrestrial Digital freeview in New Zealand?

I have the Cyberlink stuff installed that came with my Hauppauge HVR 4000 and AC3 filter (So I can get TV3 AC3) but all the other channels are missing sound. I have tried the Mpeg decoder, The cyberlink one, the ac3, all with no joy...

Oh, I'm running Vista Home Premium, SP1 and you already know my tv card.

aac sound for tv1 and 2
tv3 you have the option of ac3 or aac
monogram is what most people are using i think do a search

You need the Monogram AAC decoder for our DVB-T audio http://blog.monogram.sk/janos/2008/04/20...oder-0950/

The Cyberlink audio decoder is also capable of playing this type of audio, but unfortunately it isnt usable in third party apps (unless you license it from Cyberlink $$$).

Excellent! thank you very much, i've been looking everywhere for that with no sucess at all!

Out of interest, I'm using Cyberlink to decode the video, is this the best option are are there more suitable decoders?

OK, now call me stupid, but what on earth do I do with the mmaacd.ax file I downloaded from that website?

You need to save it somewhere (like c:\windows\system32) then run:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mmacd.ax

If you're on Vista you'd probably have had to start a command prompt with "run as administrator" to run this command from.

Worked a treat - once I ran the cmd as administrator. Which is strange as I'm logged on as the administrator! Gotta love Vista!
