Channel Changer only work sometimes

Hi,

I am using the MCE2005 IR blaster to change channel on my set top box. The problem Im having is that it only works sometimes. I can not find any logical reason to why it should stop working. I can not find anything in the logs either. The solution to get it to work again is to restart the recording service. Am I missing something fundamental? In the attached PVRX2.exe.log I have towards the end of the file marked two occurrances where the first one is not working and the second one works.

I dont recommend anyone uses the builtin 'MCE2005 IR Blaster' channel changer option. It was never completed, and never tested. Instead you should use HIP or IR Server Suite or one of the other utilities that specialise in this.

Ok, Ill look into that. The reason for choosing the mce2005 was that the setup was so easy. I had been looking at HIP but found it too complicated. Ill see what will work for me.

Unfortunately I only spent a few hours on it a couple of years ago, and I never went back and completed it. I never even tested it once.

At the same time all these other apps like HIP/EventGhost/IRSS etc started to appear, and they had much more time to focus on this specific functionality, so it fell quite a way down my priority list.
