Hello,
I'm trying to scan for available HDTV cable channels with GBPVR. GBPVR has so far not been able to find any channels. However, Dvico's software successfully finds available channels. I have a FusionHDTV5 RT Lite.

I've tried all options in the QAM manager without additional success.

Attached are log files for config.exe and config.exe-native after performing a channel scan.

please help, thank you.

I forgot to mention that I'm also running the newest version of GBPVR 1.2.13.

Can anyone help me get the channel scan feature working?? I just want to get the networks (NBC, ABC, ect.) in high def off the cable signal.

Unfortunately QAM support is limited to few select devices (Hauppauge, HDHomeRun, Vixs and OnAir GT). Some people have managed to get other devices to work (including some Fusion), but only because they've been lucky that their device has worked enough like a Hauppauge device.

According to your logs its going through the motions, and no errors occurring, but the device never manages to log onto a signal.

You could try Whurlstons QAM.ini manager to scan other frequencies. If that doesnt work, then you're probably out of luck - sorry.

I couldn't get my FusionHDTV5 RT Lite to record QAM either. I switched it to handle ATSC, but it still gave me trouble. Overall it caused my system to be unstable.

For a smoother experience, stick to common well supported card (Hauppauge HVR1600/1800 etc). Sorry, I know this doesnt help those that already own them, but its good buying advice for those reading this that have been thinking about buying a new card....
