Any chance this is related to the (old) problem of HD recordings stopping midway through, usually at commercial breaks (ie, resolution changing)? It also, I think, has something to do with TS inconsistencies, but probably not related to this tuning issue. Is this file used just during tuner setup, or for normal TS interpretation? I have bypassed the issue by going SD on the offending channel. I can try back on HD if this is possibly a fix. Thanks again Chuck

This wouldnt have fixed that. This fix was unlikely to have much effect on any other than the scan. You never know though...

The problem I was referring to is in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36648.
The file stops growing part way through the show, and the recording service locks up (thinks its still recording), and can stay that way for days. Requires manual bounce to clear. With DVR-ms, file was unuseable. With TS, the part that recorded was useable. The problem did not go away with the upgrade to 1.3.7. I do note that you have a "lease expired" now, that is supposed to stop an over-run show, but that did not seem to work either. I thinkt he key is it was ALWAYS on channel 13, in high def, and often at the same time of hour. I suspect it has to do with something changing in the TS when going to comercial or back. Switching to SD for cahnnel 13 has solved it, though not satisfying. I am thinking over the holiday, when mostly re-runs, I may go abck to HD and see if I can get more info. The logs show nothing. We talked about possibly adding more stuff to log if problem persisted in 1.3.7. I would like to at least verify whether it is right at a commercial break that it hangs. It also often gives a microsoft exception in teh recording service. I think I posted one of those too, but not very helpful. If I learn anything, I'll put it in the other thread, since it unlikely to do with this patch. Thansk Chuck
