This system has two 1250 tuners. I think the problem was due to the installation of each tuner as "unit 1."

My mistake was caused by a lack of understanding of the meaning of the unit number. It was not clear to me whether the unit number referred to all the tuners on one card (ie., 2250 would have units 1 & 2), or of the number of units of a type of card, or of all the tuners in the machine. I think this last meaning is the correct one.

I suggest a little verbiage be added to the docs.

I've made an additional donation of $20, with which I add the following thought: The product is already so feature-rich, I suggest work in the area of self-healing and awareness of of internal consistency.

Thanks for an excellent product,

The unit number is actually filter (device) instances. Most tuners have the same multiple copies of the same DirectShow filter name (the tuner entry in bda.ini or direct.ini) when multiple cards are installed. With the 1250, it is for each device (the digital side has a different filter name than the analog side). But a card that has multiple digital and/or analog tuners, you would have #1 and #2 with only one card installed.

I know I probably just confused you more.

Since the 'never-go-empty beer bottle' would contribute significantly to both the other objectives, I think it should come first...
