How do I tell PVRX2 that my digital tuner and analog tuner are the one and the same card, and that when I am watching LiveTV (and I presume recording) on the analog side of the card, that it should not try to do an EPG update on the digital side.

What happens at present is the when the EPG update is taking place on the digital channels, the analog stops. Ideally, the EPG update should be queued until the card becomes free.

I've not noticed the problem on recordings, maybe because the recordings and the EPG update time have not overlapped, or maybe PVRX2 address this issue.

There is only one card in my system, and it is an HVR 1300.

I've read that the 1300 is the PAL version of my NTSC/ATSC HVR1600. The two sides shouldn't interfere, and if you are using the XMLTV format guide data, EPG update shouldn't interfere with either side. Maybe I'm missing something, but your question doesn't make a lot of sense to me - can you describe the symptoms and how/when it happens?

You can control the time of EPG update from config.

I'm aware of the issue. For now all you can do is make sure the EPG update is configured for some time in the middle of the night when you've very unlikely to be using live tv.

Perhaps for the wishlist forum instead but ....

Is it possible for PVRX2 to check if the epg xml file has been updated, and, if it has, reload the data?

I have a flakey internet connection, and often have to manually rerun TVxb to download the EPG, if and when the middle of the night update fails. But of course, I usually need to reload the EPG data whilst watching LiveTV - hence the problem with the hybrid card stopping LiveTV if I choose Update EPG from the System menu.

If PVRX2 checked the epg.xml file every minute or so, then I could fire off the internet EPG grabber and not have to worry about the HVR1300 trying to get Digital Channel EPG data. I guess this assumes that if PVRX2 doens't reset the Digital Channel EPG information if the xml file doesn't have the Digital Channel EPG data (which in my case, it would not have).

Is this feasible Sub?
