show Failed recordings in what's new

I've been having some hard-lock trouble all of a sudden with my gb-pvr box (rather frustrating, as absolutely NOTHING has been changed), and a understandable side-effect has been missed recordings. There doesn't seem to be any easy way to see which recordings have failed though - the only thing I found was to go into the 'Ready' list, and poke into each show with a recent recording; only there would I see the 'Failed' recordings.

Several possibilities occurred to me, but it seems by far the simplest and most effective method would be to show 'Failed' recordings in the 'What's New' list.

If you use the TV Recordings plugin it will do just that

I had been thinking of trying out the TV Listings and Recordings plugins - good to know that feature is there.

That said, showing the failed recordings is a fundamental enough feature (and presumably very simple to implement) that it's worth sub's consideration for the stock plugin.

I'd second that idea - in general I find the native plugins are enough for what I want so don't use any other plugins for managing recordings etc. It's not often that I get failed recordings but on the odd occasion when it has happened, it would have been useful to see it in 'What's New' (which is my default view for the native Recordings plugin).

I'll 3rd the request. It happens rarely to me and is usually down to my nova-t-500 pseudo USB tuners disappearing to the system when it comes out of standby/hibernate.

The first I know about it is when I get the "daggers looks" when someone in the household comes to play something and there is only "close" and "delete" in the menu.

The failed recording indication is fairly hidden and certainaly including them in the new list with either "failed" or in a contrasting colour would be useful.

(It might even give me time to check the repeats, newsgroups or torrents to find the missing item before being tormented)
