MDAPI opening multiple instances resulting in error

I am using MDAPI plugins on GBPVR 1.3.7. When I switch channels in GBPVR (exiting the current channel, going to the TV Guide, and opening a new channel) another instance of MDAPI is created, but both instances fail to work. Every time I attempt to view a new channel, another instance is created and the old ones do not close.

Ideas?

Addition: there is no problem if I switch to a different tv channel without going back into the TV Guide (i.e. I switch the channel by pushing the up or down arrow on my remote).

Update:

I did get it to work. I went back to the previous version of GBPVR, reinstalled my card's drivers, and some other things that frankly I cannot remember, and got it to work!

Sorry I can't be more helpful for others with a similar problem...
