I'm not aware of any GB-PVR issue that would cause this. Your sound card drivers for Vista x64 may be screwy though. The sound card responsible for providing the clock that is used for synchronizing things.

but why recording has audio synced with no trouble and only live TV gets this issue over time? shouldn't that be happening to both live and recorded content if it was sound card?

thanks for helping me sub, i will try playing around with different audio drivers in meantime.
all i know for now it's not related to decoders as issues persists on all of them (tried many video/audio combinations).

i haven't tried other audio drivers yet, but found another issue (sorry i didn't publish it earlier).

I use Audio Renderer manually set to Speakers (Realtek HD) under Vista, because when i set it to System Default then i got no sound in GB-PVR. under Win XP I use System Default Audio Renderer. coincidence or source of my problem?

Yes, potentially.

OK, so i got a problem. tried a different (older) audio driver and still cannot make GB-PVR to play any sounds with System Default Audio Renderer. any way to fix it manually by editing registry or something?

I dont know it. This more of a Windows question than GB-PVR though. Leaving the audio renderer set to 'system default' effectively tells windows it can choose whatever audio renderer it prefers. It sounds like Windows default choice is not working. Most likely a bug in your audio drivers or something.

i think you are right. will test more vista audio drivers for this integrated chip. this is probably the key to solving this riddle. thanks for help sub!

no success. it seems that no matter what audio driver version always GBPVR under Vista plays no sound whenever audio renderer is set to anything else besides Speakers (Realtek HD). System Default stays silent as well.
interesting that same driver is for both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista, so I'm wondering if it behaves same way on both, or maybe this is some idiotic x64 issue here. very annoying, but it must be it, since XP x64 driver works flawlessly and System Default audio renderer works there fine (no sync issues).

I also have a sync issue with the Core AVC decoder and 1.3.7. I fixed it by switching fron VMR9 Custom to Overlay. I have an ATI HD2600 video card an run XP. I would prefer to use VMR Custom but I changed every filter except CoreAVC and could not correct the sync issue. Some channels would be close while others were way off. It happened during live playback and recorded playback, I suspect because thay both use the same decoder.

I also use 5.1 audio.

thanks man, i will try that. i managed to minimize the offset by re-installing latest audio drivers and using Driver Sweeper in Safe Mode to get it done like a clean install. better but i can still see slight sync problems over time (some channels better and others worse). it must be the vista audio driver issue. hopefully realtek fixes it in future versions.
