When I watch one of my HD channels with Live TV, it displays in HD. But when I record that channel, it does not replay in HD. At one point in time, it was replaying in HD. Also, I have a second system that the recorded shows replay in HD. Obviously, I have somehow messed up my first system. Guidance would be appreciated.

That sounds like the type of thing that could only be caused by the video decoder, so try a different video decoder. The recording itself will definitely be HD if it was an HD channel.

Maybe you have your BDA multiplexor is set to Full TS? I think I recorded a HD channel once using this option, and when played back, it played an SD version that was on the same transponder...

I looked and the file that is created as a suffix of mpg on the system where the replay in not HD. So it is not being recorded in HD. On the second system, the suffix is dvr-ms, so that one is recording in HD.

Do a recording then zip and attach the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe=native.log and I'll check what was used to do the recording. If its a digital recording, and the channel is highdef, then it'll definitely contain a highdef in the recording - there is nothing in the application that down-scales digital recordings.

You haven't got two tuners and both have the same channel listed (as SD and HD)
Just that live TV and recordings have different tuner priorities....

I do have two tuners since it is a Hauppauge 1600. And I don't have duplicate channels. Like I said, I can select a channel via the guide and it would display in HD. But if I then recorded that same program that I was watching in HD, it was recording in SD. Well, I went a head and deleted my channel definitions and recreated everything. Now all is right with the world. Just one of those, go figures.
