PVRX2, Recording service, and config hang on start

Hi,
Everything was working fine last night, this morning PVRX2 was locked up.
After a reboot, the recording service gave me the standard "has encountered a problem and needs to close". I got the same when I tried to open PVRX2 and the config utility. I uninstalled 1.3.7 and updated to the latest version 1.3.11. The problem is still occurring. I have attached the log files. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like you've edited the config.xml file and broken it. Replace config.xml with a copy of config-dont-edit-me.xml.

That didn't change anything. I will uninstall again and remove all the files to a subdirectory so it starts from scratch and see if I can at least get it to start as a fresh install that should at least tell me if the problem is with the system or the software. BTW the very last thing I was doing was changing the skin from blue to slick from within the pvrx2 setting menu.

That was definitely the case in the logs you posted. If you've done my advice above, I'm happy to take a look at a new set of logs.

I'm aware of this particular skin change not working, but I havnt seen any reports of it breaking the config.xml.

After I did what you prescribed the log files had no new data in them, 0 bytes. There were differences between the do not edit master config and the config.xml that i was using but I didn't spend much time looking for the differences. The reinstall worked so that is good enough for me. I kept all the files that where left after the uninstall and moved them into a new directory if there are any that you would want for debugging purposes, let me know. I appreciate you looking at this. Everything seems to be back to normal now. Keep up the great work!!
