Recordings not working with client

Divx videos in the video library play just fine on the client. Also, if i copy the recording to the client and then try to play it it plays just fine. Im guessing there is some problem with the way i have the network setup but i cannot figure it out. Im using file sharing and i can see all the recordings on the client machine but when i goto watch them the screen goes black and then eventually it brings me back to the recordings screen. Ill attach all the logs from both machines. Thanks!

Firstly, does "\\MEDIASHUTTLE\Recorded TV\Last Call With Carson Daly\Last Call With Carson Daly_20090211_00360105.mpg" exist from the client? If not, then sounds like you've got the share settings wrong.

Otherwise, there is no obvious error shown in the logs. I'd try though is putting the audio renderer back to 'system default'. If that doesnt do it, try other decoders.

Thanks for the super quick reply. Im not sure i understand what you're asking but if you mean can i select that file from the client then, yes i can. When i go to "recordings" on the client i can see all my programs listed there. They just wont play.

If you're sure that path is correct from the client's perspective, then look into my other advice about audio renderer and decoders.

Im pretty sure that path is correct. I browsed to it when i set the client up so i dont think i could have gotten it wrong. I just set the audio renderer back to system default and no change. Ive also tried all the mpeg decoder choices i have. im pretty stumped now. When ive set this up before its worked flawlessly right away. Not sure what i could be doing wrong this time.

Just went back and re-browsed for the recordings share from the client. i didnt see any change in the path but its working now. Thanks for your help sub, love the program!
