Sub, would you mind taking a look at these logs? Im running 1.3.11 and it's been working great for several months.

Tonight at about 8:30 I sat down to watch "The Office" (airs from 8:00 - 8:30), only to find out that the recording stopped after about 20 min, even though it's a 30 min show. Pre and post padding are set at 2 min.

I attached all the logs that were created today, march 19, so hopefully there is something in there that shows the error.

Would really appreciate it if you took a look.

Thanks!

You didnt include the recording service logs, but...

We've had several reported occurrances of the ATI mux stopping delivering data mid recording. Try the TS Mux or DVR-MS mux.

Thanks, Sub.

Will experiment with the mux, and will also look for the recording service log.

Thanks!

Sub, I changed my mux, so we'll see if that solves the problem or not.

I attached the recording service log, took me a while to figure out why it wasn't dated 3/19....

To my untrained eye, it looks like it thinks the recording went the full 30 min as planned,

Quote:2009-03-19 19:58:05.035 VERBOSE BDARecorder::StartRecording() finished
2009-03-19 20:33:00.071 VERBOSE BDARecorder::StopRecording()

But the recording does in fact end at about the 20 min mark, and when I pause it it shows that it's only 20 (well, 19:xx actually) min long. But I'm not very good at reading the tea leaves here. Can you see anything?

(the above quote is from the 'recordingservice.exe native-2' file, but I included the rest "just in case")

Yeah, from GB-PVR's perspective the recording went for the full 30 minutes (plus padding).

GB-PVR effectively hooks up the device to the mux and the output file, then tells it to start recording. Later it comes back and tells it to stop. It does not check anything between these two points, and has no visibility of the device or mux stopping delivering data, so you wouldnt see any indication of this in the logs.
