I just noticed a new button I had not before. It seems to only show after I watch a program. Then I can select if I want to play keep or close the window. But for some reason Keep doesnt always show up not even after watching a show to the fullest. Can anyone tell me when exaclty I can make this occur as it does not seem to occur all the time on all of my recordings. Further more what does it do I couldnt find anything about it in the wiki (The wiki seems more disorganized than the last time I used it).

I am interested in this function as a keep function would be great say one that I could configure to converth the program to xvid or divx and export it to a folder of my choosing in the Video section. It may already be there and I have just not seen it yet.

I am using v. 1.2.13 with community3 skin. Thanks for the help.

When you create a season recording, if you'd set a maximum number of recordings for that show, then you'll later have the option to 'keep' the individial recording. This effectively stops this show from being automatically deleted at a later stage. (since the oldest show gets automatically deleted each recording you do past the configured maximum recordings)

Quick question sub - does it "keep" it by effectively removing it from the list?
What I'm getting at is if you have a season setup to keep 14 episodes end "keep" 5 do you end up with 19 in total or do 9 roll over earlier?

Hey sub what about the feature to take the reocording and convert it and save it. Is that in the works? or in a newer release that maybe I am not running? there have been a few times that I have wanted to divx a recording because it was taking up space or I wanted to save it to view again. Thanks.

You can use the Transcode button in the video library to convert a file if you need to. I have no plans to add a similar feature to the Recordings screen. The trancoded file should still show up in the Recordings screen though.
