Hi,

I've had time to do a bit more experimenting.

From another computer on the same lan
192.168.1.64:33908/gui gets to utorrent
192.168.1.64:7647/gbpvr doesn't connect and times out

Also from another computer on the same lan via Hamachi
5.xxx.xxx.xxx:33908/gui gets to utorrent
5.xxx.xxx.xxx:7647/gbpvr doesn't connect and times out
The error message is "server is taking too long to respond"

On the local computer
http://192.168.1.64:7647/gbpvr works
http://5.xxx.xxx.xxx:7647/gbpvr works

I've checked portforwarded is 7647
I've checked gbpvr webserver is on port 7647
I've checked portqry -n localhost -e 7647 and it comes back tcp is listening.
I've stopped and closed down the firewall and antivirus programs on both computers.

Is there a log anywhere to check gbpvr is or is not getting a request via 7647?

Thanks
Alan

Only a network sniffer like http://www.ethereal.com/

Possiblu an alternative firewall will (or can) log connection attempts.

Thanks. It's a start to figuring where the connection has broken down.

Thanks

That's now been updated to wireshark but I'm lost as to how to isolate data coming into port 7647 ... got deadlines on few other things first and it looks like its going to take a few hours of reading through the help file!

One simple thing.....have you tried stopping and restarting the gbpvr service.....I have had a long running issue where the web server in GBVR hangs requiring a restart.

I actually setup a batch job to terminate and restart the gbpvr service every day.

I know someone else had the same problem a month or two back.

Let me know.

Also....there is a web log that will be on the local machine in the following directory.....you just need to dig down through the sub-folders looking for the one with the gbpvrpublic.dll and there should be a log directory there....look there.....all logins (automatic or mannual) plus all other ewa activity is caught there.

Code:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\gbpvr\66372bc5\b1db62aa\assembly\dl3
Intel Core i7 @ 4.00GHz Skylake 14nm

Windows 10 Pro x64
PVR Software: NPVR 5.1.1
