guilty, my channel requests where screwy because I did type them manually. woops.

Thanks for the help so far! Now It lets me go to a channel, but I am still just getting black. I will double check everything and try it again though just to make sure I am not doing something else dumb...

what video decoder are you using? the mpeg video decoder built in to XP won't cut it.
if you have a PowerDVD disk around, you can install that, it's usually a pretty good decoder. you can also get the MPV Filter at http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm. The XP audio decoder will work for channels with MP2 audio, but many US channels use AC3 audio so you'll need a decoder for that too. http://www.ac3filter.net.
