Hi all

My first post - finally got GBPVR to work - about 6 hours changing and fiddling, not really knowing what I was doing, but getting a better idea all the time.

And it's great !!.....many thanks - a terrific program. Now for a couple of questions:

a) I'm using a Nova TD card......thought I could connect my Cable feed from the box, as well as the ext. ant. But the cable picks up no channels in GBPVR.....should I just forget about the second input socket on the card? (Aerial works fine on it's socket, though signal's not too strong on every station)

b) Recording 2 channels at the same time: I have managed it, but once I'd scheduled a recording for 9 - 10pm asking the program to record another during that period, it told me that I must cancel one or other recording sessions.....what am I missing here?

Cheers

Chris

with a nova td card this is a dual tuner?

Your cable feed i dont think will work cos thats probably dvb-c - where as the nova t is dvb-t - they don't "talk" to each other.

If so you need to set up a capture source for "both" other tuners. They should be identical for EPG, but one will be for device one, the other for device 2.

Hi Chris
As it's a dual freeview card I think you might have to have an aerial lead plugged into both aerial sockets and then set up two capture sources for the one card. The card will be listed twice in the drop down device list, numbered 1 and 2.
Set both cards to use the same epg guide.

If you can connect the aerial directly, bypassing the cable box, you may get a stronger signal. You can't tune into the cable's rf output as it's not a digital signal.

That's from memory so it is probably a little vague.
