2 quick questions

Planning to add a HD-PVR to my setup soon, and have a couple of questions

1) New database. I've been using GB-PVR for 3+ years now and I think it's time for a new database. I have a few corrupt shows in there, and I don't mind if I end up re-recording a show I saw years ago. Do I just stop GB-PVR, remove the old database, and reboot?

2) Channel editing. I'm using Schedules Direct and see that they don't support 2 copies of the FIOS Digital Lineup. Therefore, in order to have the HD-PVR only record HD shows I will have to disable the SD channels for it in the capture source setup. There are hundreds of these channels. Any way to do this with a text editor? Pretty much every channel below 500 is SD, so I"m hoping a quick find-replace would do the trick

1) Just stop GB-PVR, rename your gbpvr.db3 to something like gbpvr.db3.old, then start the config app and it'll create a new one.

2) There isnt really a straight forward way to do this. GB-PVR treats channels with the same name as the same channel, so two capture sources with channels with the same name will end up as one set of channels, and it'll use either device to record them.

a bit of sql should do the trick for a pseudo-batch disable...
in some sort of sqlite editor where you can execute sql queries, on a backup of db, run:

update SOURCE_CHANNEL_MAPPING set ENABLED='N' where source_channel_number < '500' and capture_source_oid = '2' ;

Change capture_source_oid to the one you wish to disable them on..
[you'll have to look at your db to see which one to select]

i'm not absolutely sure if the single quotes are needed around the values but it should be ok..
[so check it on a backup copy first and check results]
