Black Screen/codec prob?

Hi, i just installed the new version of GBPVR on my HTPC (XP SP3) and i cannot get the live tv to play the tv. I hear the sound but no playback. I searched the forum archives and it seems to be a codec problem so i tried download the MVP however i cannot get the option on GBPVR config to select so im sort of stuck on what to do. thanks

This is almost certainly a problem with the video decoder you were using, or the lack of video decoder on your machine.

The MPV video decoder page had instructions for how to install it. Basically you need to run "regsvr32 c:\path\to\whatever.ax" to register it, then it should show up in the config app.

Thanks for the help. Do you reccommend any other audio, hd, decoders? I have another question in that i cannot figure out how to get the remote that came with the 2250 working. Do i need to downlaod something like HIP(not sure what this is) or IR server suite? That is what ive been reading but not sure if they are necessary or not. Thanks

I found the answer about the remote thing, ill give it a try.
