VP COntroller Window...what the?

baaah...title is meant to be MVP controller window...bloody HTPC mini remote keyboard (nothing to do with the 3/4 bottle of wine)

Last two days when I alt=tab is see this task called MVP controller running..is this normal.i've never seen it before.
Have attached a screen grab of the window.

You're seeing it because you're on XP and have the 'allow service to interact with desktop' setting enabled on the 'GBPVR Recording Service'. You can either ignore it, or try disabling that setting.

if you run as currently logged in user, you'll never see it...even in alt-tab...
