I don't know for sure (I don't have a PS3) but my guess would be not.

I would think that PS3 can connect to devices that are Media Center compliant or offer some sort of standard media interface with EWA does not.

It allows on-demand streaming to VLC (recommended) or WMP.

you might try using download? [not streaming, i assume it's local network]
standard web browser stuff there...
as long as it can play the files natively it might work..

While it doesn't let you use the nice GBPVR interface, you can setup the free PS3 Media Server to allow the PS3 to access the video files on your GBPVR server. It's available from http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/
