Hello - I am not sure if I am finally losing it or not, but I have been recording some shows (for example, NUMB3RS) tonight for example and if I play the show using VLCPlayer I get some Spanish-language show. Wrongly setup GBPVR, right?

But if I play it using Media Player Classic.... I get NUMB3RS!!!

Please someone slap me!

Maybe you set the mux to 'Full TS'? Switch it to 'TS Mux' instead.

that was it! not sure what possessed me to do that :-)

So .. just curious ... how is that VLC plays one show and my popcorn plays another one from the same file ... does that mean I would not need multiple tuners if I was recording two stations simultaneously?

Pls Forgive my total lack of knowledge!

With TS Mux turned on you can still record two (or more) stations separately if they are on the same digital channel using a GBPVR feature called multi-record it is much more manageable then saving them in one file.

You should be able to select either stream on the PCH with the native software by using the angle key to select the station you want.

One may default to the first stream while the other defaults to the last stream. Neither is wrong, they just operate differently. You can switch streams with both players though.
