I think the problem may be the trailing slash. Try passing C:\PVR-Data\Futurama rather than C:\PVR-Data\Futurama\ and see if ti works. I'll update the routine to do this automatically if this fixes your problem.

That's was it! I was calling the XRecord suite's Show.getFolder() method and that method includes a trailing backslash on the folder name. The UpdateTVShowDescription() doesn't seem to like that at all.

How can I tell if UpdateTVShowDescription() worked? Since fetching posters is not an exact science, I was thinking of having a couple fetch techniques in there until until one of them worked.

Looking for a folder.jpg file and checking the date on it is not ideal. I would also need to check the art directory. Would it be possible for UpdateTVShowDescription() to return a status?

I usually call it from a thread, which is why the method doesn't return a type. I could look at raising an event when the download succeeds or fails to let you know the status.

Other than not telling you how it is doing, is it working for you now?

Yes it works great. If you did the stripping of the trailing \ in a later release that would be cool.

Tv.com doesn't always have an icon on the first page of the query though. It's been discussed before but having a site where GB-PVR users could share their posters with each other would be cool. The artistic types could submit their own creations. I wonder if there are copyright issues with sharing such images between us GB-PVR users? Don't think it would generate that much traffic as people tend to record the same shows over and over and end up having most posters locally.

I am having this problem. So what can i do to fix it? Are there any logs i can shwo you gusy to get a better idea of waht is wrong?
