Anybody try comcast in PA with digital Hauppauge?

Looks like comcast is giving us the slip, I mean, switch.

Looking at the Hauppauge 2250. Anybody use it with Comcast's digital line-up?

I have a 2250 in SE Pa. I can get the locals, news, a couple shopping channels, weatherscan, WGNAMER and the music channels in clear Qam. You can't get any of the extended basic cable channels, they are encrypted.

I wonder if they'll un-encrypt with the changeover. With more and more TVs having a digital tuner... it would be nice.

I wouldn't plan on it, they want subscribers renting set top boxes and DVR so they try to make things as difficult as possible.

Well, they're sending me 2 digital adapters for free. We'll see what happens.

With the digital adapters you'll only have RF output available to you, no composite or SVideo, let alone digital. ;(

That'll be hard with the Haup 500. 1 input...
