Dual Tuners problem recording 2 programs at the same time V1.5.24 Win 7.

It seems to me that you haven't installed the DirectX package referenced in prerequisites for NPVR beta.

Downloaded and installed direct X onto my Windows 7 64 bit machine,made no difference, program can only see one tuner at a time.

hansol32, can you try editing the DeviceRules.xml file to remove the following two lines:

<Filter name="Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-T Tuner/Demod" resource="Hauppauge 88x" />

Thanks Sub removing the two lines appears to have worked,

Glad it worked.

Unfortunately you might need to remember this and reply for the next few betas. The tuners you have in your machine look just like a single HVR-3000/4000, where DVB-T or DVB-S is not possible simultaneously, which is why the app is trying to disallow it. Unfortunately I have no way to tell you have two separate cards vs single combined card.

Sub has this problem been fixed as I had problems last night after installing the current accumulated fix , the program reported that it could not detect the cards. After uninstalling and reinstalling program, I gave up and did a complete uninstall including the files in user/ public and reinstalled from scratch.

I then deleted the 2 lines from DeviceRules.xml file and all appears to be well

<Filter name="Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-T Tuner/Demod" resource="Hauppauge 88x" />

Is this still a valid procedure.

Yes, as I mentioned above you'll need to continue to do this for new releases. Unfortunately Hauppauge used the same filter names for different types of cards and NPVR cant tell the difference between them.
