Girder - menu up/down vs. channel up/down

Hello,

I'm new to the entire PVR thing. Just picked up a Hauppage 500MCE and I'm trying to configure gb-pvr and girder. GB-PVR is awesome! Nice job...and great community support.

My question is this. Are the 'Channel Up/Down' commands distinct from the Menu 'Up/Down/Left/Right' commands? My remote has separate buttons but I didn't notice separate commands in the grider gml file. I'd like to use the different buttons on the remote.

The keyboard reference in the wiki docs refer to the Hauppage but it's unclear me how to go about doing this without using the built-in support for the Hauppage remote.

Suggestions anyone?

channel up/down = page up/down
volume up/down = +/-
nav up/down/left/right = up/down/left/right

up and down also changes the channel (so can work with older hauppauge remote).

Since the last release there are separate keys for channel up/down (PageUp key, PageDown key) and for the volume up/down (+/-).

Unfortunately the up/down/left/right navigation keys will always double as channel up/down volume up/down, since a large percentage of users have these buttons combined on their Hauppauge remote.
